Nintendo at the LA Auto Show
N8 | A view of the Nintendo 3DS booth
N8 | The Mario Kart 7 backdrop
N8 | Luigi's kart
N8 | Mario's glider kart
I got to test out Mario Kart 7 while at the LA Auto Show. It was a lot of fun. The 3D is very well done. The new items were interesting. I never figured out how to use the 7 super item. Mario Kart 7 is a blast to play with other people. Highly recommended!

At the LA Auto Show
N8 | View from the top of the Toyota booth
Last Sunday I attended the 2011 LA Auto Show. It was pretty crowded and I didn't get to do as much as I would have liked.
N8 | Mitsubishi electric concept
I spent the first hour checking twitter to see the Chargers score. I didn't realize I could just sit in a car and listen to the radio.
N8 | Hot Wheels Hot Rod
Ford had a really cool 5 screen google maps interactive display. I forgot to take a picture of it : (
I noticed most people looked up where they lived. Some people looked up the pyramids in Egypt.
N8 | The Mini Slot machine
What I loved about the Mini booth was this slot machine. The three slots on the screen were projected on the roofs in the background
N8 | There's 2 gigs in that thing

N8 | That Instragram look
I'm not big on camera apps. These are from the Camera Lover Pack. I use them once and forget I installed it. I don't think I've used molome in months.

Happy TARDIS Day
N8 | The TARDIS lands at San Diego Comic Con
48 years ago today, BBC aired the first episode of Doctor Who. I began watching last Summer. That's a lot of catching up to do.

In the window
N8 | Don't Blink
Parked on a street near the Hollywood Improv and saw this window display. Reminds me of a weeping angel from Doctor Who.

Tomorrow
The Steve Allen Theater is the place to be Saturday nights at midnight. Ron Lynch hosts Tomorrow, a variety show that has been running for 6 years now. Last night's show had a performance from the Radioactive Chicken Heads, a pianist, a burlesque dancer, "Jesse Ventura", skits, and lots of standup.
N8 | The Hosts of Tomorrow from Yesterday
The show last night was one of the best. Kate Micucci showed up and sang a song. Brendon Small and Craig Anton showed up and did silly stuff with Ron Lynch and the Doorknockers. There was a stretch where I was laughing for 15 minutes straight.
Tomorrow is dark for December and returns in January.

Someday I'll go inside. The restaurant used to spin around, that must have been cool.

Toy Run in Little Osaka
Earlier this week I visited a small neighborhood in west Los Angeles some call Little Osaka. I visited the Giant Robot stores and some of the shops. Lots of yummy smells in the area. My main purpose of the visit was to visit the market there.
N8 | Gokaiger candy
The market has Kamen Rider and Super Sentai toys. I can't find this stuff like this when I visit Little Tokyo. I saw some Fourze and Gokaiger toys.
N8 | Gokai Galleon
Inside the box is a little model kit and a piece of candy. Pretty simple toy to make. I definitely need to make another visit.

They Might Be Giants at Amoeba Records
I found out Monday night that They Might Be Giants would be playing a show at Amoeba Records in Hollywood. I got there about an hour early. I found a great spot in the second row. Underneath the record racks was a stool I sat on while I waited.
N8 | In store marquee
N8 | They Might Be Giants
N8 | You can see the drummer in this one
They played for about half an hour. I was very pleased they played Istanbul. They also played Alphabet of Nations. Good times were had.
