Obama has been re-elected. The rape Republicans have been defeated. Same-sex marriage passed in a few of states.
Locally, I've been on pins and needles watching Prop 30, which creates a tax to help fund education, police, fire and balance the state budget. Polls closed at 8PM and it was trailing most of the night. It's about midnight and it has pulled ahead. My friends in teaching wont see their salaries shrink or lose their jobs. K-12 kids wont miss two weeks of schools. UC and CSU kids wont see their tuition spike.
I can sleep sound tonight.
